The people of Boripe Local Government are Yoruba extraction and speak Oyo dialect. The people are predominantly farmers who cultivate arable crops such as cassava, maize, yam, vegetable, legumes, among others. Cash crops such as Kolanut, cocoa, oil palm, oranges, plantain, banana, cashew and mango are also cultivated by the people while skilled and unskilled labour abound in the area, largely because of the early contact with western education. Many indigenes of the area are, highly educated while several others are engaged in various vacations and businesses.
